June 12-14 Scrapbooking and Cardmaking Retreat

Monday, March 9th, 2009

OK, I have a question. How do all of you that have blogs, keep them up to date? You would think that I would have had a couple of free hours in the past six weeks to actually update this blog that I wanted so badly right? Right. It’s not like I don’t have enough self-imposed guilt in my life…but now I have to add not updating my blog regularly to that guilt trip too. Please, tell me…HOW DO YOU DO IT?????

It’s for reasons just like this that I often feel the need to get away…to run away from all of the things I have to do and just pretend that they don’t exist. I know…it’s called "denial"…and I’m very good at it! I just returned from our last scrapbooking and cardmaking retreat out in Canmore this weekend and it was FABULOUS!! The ladies had such a great time and we are soooo looking forward to our next retreat. Here are the details once again:

When: June 12-14, 2009

Where:  Stoney Nakoda Resort and Casino (in beautiful Kananaskis)

Details: $250 based on double occupency. This includes two nights accomodations in the BRAND NEW STONEY NAKODA RESORT AND CASINO, three amazing meals, plus snacks, goody bags, make ‘n takes, contests for card makers and scrapbookers. We are also working to bring in instructors for a variety of classes, new sponsors for goody bags and door prizes, a massage therapist and so much more!

If you would like to join us, please click on the link below to pay your $50 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit to hold your spot. Because of the demand for this new resort, we must make our deposit to them by March 22nd, which means we will require your deposit by March 20th. Please pass this along to friends and family and join us for an amazing weekend of relaxation, fun and creativity!

Scrapbooking Class

Monday, March 9th, 2009

As I mentioned before, I have a monthly scrapbooking class that will help you get caught up on your scrapbooks in no time flat! Each month we use a different Simply Scrappin’ kit from Stampin’ Up! and I design 4 two page spreads using the kit. You simply come over and make the scrapbook pages either exactly like mine or using mine as a guideline and then take them home and add your pictures…how easy is that? In February we used the "Sweet Nothings" kit and made some beautiful gooshy pages to highlight all those that you love in your life. Here is a sample of the types of pages we do:

In March we will be using the Tailor Made kit from Stampin’ Up!. If you would like to come to this class, click on the Paypal button below to register right away. The class will be held on Sunday, March 28th from 1-4pm. Registration will be accepted until March 15th.

Kids Club Projects

Monday, March 9th, 2009

I do a Kids club once a month with 10 kids from 6-12 years old. This is one of the projects we did last month. It is a door hanger for their bedroom doors. I find this Just Jawing set from Stampin’ Up! is a big hit with kids in this age group.
